Add a layer of security to your gmail account to ensure that you are the only person who reads or see all incoming messages. Google has different security options that allow a user to have an additional layer of protection from attackers.
In this article, I will basically talk about the 2-Step verification method. Another method used for 2-Step verification is the Google Prompt. With this method, Google will send a prompt to your device when you sign into your Gmail account with your username and password.
You are supposed to respond to the prompt before Google( which owns Gmail) allows you to access your gmail account. Google offers different options, so you can also choose another option of protection. e.g you can opt to get a txt code that you will later use to access your Gmail account
