On Tuesday, Facebook-owned Instagram announced a new app feature that will allow all users to control the personal information they share with other people through the app and will be releasing it for the next six months.

The user can go to Settings> Security> Apps and sites  to see which third party services access their data.

 The company said, "It is important to protect the data that people share with us. We also want to give people more control over the data they share with other apps and services,"

Instagram will also be releasing a "new updated approval screen" that will notify users when a third-party application requests data.

"To make sure you know what third party data is requesting from you, we also introduce a new approval screen that lists all the information that a third party is requesting. You will have the option to" delete "or" approve "this access directly from the approval screen , "the company added.

Instagram has also introduced a new state called "Blocking" the world that would allow users to block people who abuse them through criticism posts or abuse comments.

The user can block the person by swiping left over comments, via the privacy tab in Settings or directly on the account profile you want to block.
